Overtime (OT) pay is an employee right under the Thai Labour Protection Act — know the formula.

OT Rates

Base hourly rate = daily wage ÷ 8

Calculation Example

Daily wage 500 THB, 3 hours of weekday OT:

• Base hourly: 500 ÷ 8 = 62.50 THB
• OT rate: 62.50 × 1.5 = 93.75 THB/hour
• Total OT: 93.75 × 3 = 281.25 THB
