How to Count

  1. Convert both dates to a day count from a reference date (e.g., Jan 1, 1970)
  2. Subtract them to get the number of days between

Example

From January 1, 2026 to August 13, 2026:

  • Jan 31 + Feb 28 + Mar 31 + Apr 30 + May 31 + Jun 30 + Jul 31 + 13 = 225 days

Inclusive or Exclusive

  • Jan 1 to Jan 3 → 2 days apart (excluding the first day)
  • Including both days → 3 days
  • Always state which method you use
